On January 25th, 2023 at Kaplan A65 at 7 pm we had our first podcast series launch with English Professor Karl Lisovsky about "The Power of the Personal Narrative," as well as mistakes to avoid.
Professor Karl Lisovsky has been teaching writing at UCLA for over 23 years, most notably known for teaching English 2, 3, and 6W. Starting his academic career at the University of Michigan studying Anthropology and Linguistics, he turned away from academia before returning to receive his BA from UC Santa Barbara in the department of Spanish & Portuguese. He then did graduate work at UCLA in the department of Applied Linguistics before teaching in UCLA Writing Programs.
He has a variety of other interests, including playing tennis, golfing, and songwriting.
Our interview with Professor Karl Lisovsky will kick off our first episode for the LAHIx Podcast series, and we look forward to starting off 2023 strong! The podcast will be on January 25th, 2023 at 7 pm in Kaplan A65.
